About

PlayHub is a small collection of browser games. Every one is written from scratch for this site: no embedded third-party game frames, no redirects to other domains, no launcher that just points somewhere else.

Why bother writing them

Because the alternative is dishonest. A curated index of links can be built in an afternoon, and it earns money by sending you to someone else’s site. The page you land on has no game on it. Everything here loads, plays, and ends inside the tab you opened.

How they are built

Plain JavaScript modules, HTML and CSS. No framework, no build step beyond a static site generator, no tracking SDK. A whole game is usually under 200 lines: the board state is an array, the renderer draws it, and the update loop mutates it. When a game is that small, it loads instantly on a bad connection and it is easy to verify that it is not doing anything you did not ask for.

Controls are designed touch-first. If a game cannot be played with one thumb on a phone, it does not ship.

What is stored

Best scores and settings live in your browser’s local storage on your own device. There is no account, no sync, and no server-side record of a session. Clearing site data erases your scores, and nothing breaks when you do.

Adding games

New games get added when one is actually finished, which is why the list is short. The alternative, padding the index with games that barely work, makes the whole site worse than the sum of its pages.
